As others have said, there's no denying this is an engineering feat and very desirable, but as a 'toy' it should never be attempted to justify the asking price.
It would come down to personal preference, certainly it doesn't appear to have any performance advantage over a Radical or Ariel, which cost less...
It is of course personal preference and you are right one should not attempt to justify the price, you either get the product or you don't, you desire it or you don't.It would come down to personal preference, certainly it doesn't appear to have any performance advantage over a Radical or Ariel, which cost less...
However, it definitely does offer a performance advantage.... although that's not the only reason to get one.

Absolute nightmare experience. Thanks for sharing.Edited by James Drake on Monday 6th March 11:24
"the 2.5-litre Mountune engine. Power is still rated at 309hp and torque at 227lb ft,"
Is it not this engine and tune?
https://www.mountunestore.com/collections/mk2-focu...
Therefore 346lb-ft, not 227.

Watched the recent Xcar video, start mouching around for one as their Isle of Mann video was in March. Have a look at Pistonheads to see what actual owners make of it rather than Oliver Webbs instagram or a car hacks perspective of an afternoon.
Then have a look at the Mono owners forum... Jesus it makes my TVR ownership seem like a Toyota.
