I have started a new thread as I feel that when you have a problem, and with our Astons we do have problems, the most important thing is how it is resolved.
You Guys will be aware of my previous thread on the condition and problems I found on a car I had purchased from Grange Exeter.
To cut a long story short,I received a phone call from their Dealer Principle, Scott Pomery. He has accepted that my issues should of been dealt with in a better fashion and that the car should not of left them in that condition and Grange would rectify everything that needed doing.(New grill, paint bubbling, leather dashboard trim lifting)
He was friendly, professional and has totally restored my faith in Aston Martin and Grange as a group.
I have seen a lot of posts about how bad Aston Martin have treated their owners but in my view Scott has gone a long way in trying to mend that.
Thanks Scott if you read this and a quiet thanks to Mark Lavery at Cambria autos.

Good to hear that you have had a satisfactory outcome and thumbs up to Grange for doing the right thing.
I purchased my car from Grange Welwyn and therefore have more than a passing interest.
Well done.

Well done Tarquin.

I am pleased that your anxiety is over, and also that the dealer has responded promptly to a complaint.

The internet is such a powerful medium, which can so quickly ruin or enhance, the reputation of any business today.

Of course, the dealer would benefit by looking after customers well, especially as they are not in the volume car market. Perhaps as I suggested, it was just an individual employee, who went off 'company guidelines'.

I think your dealer has received praise in the past, on this forum.

Well done on the outcome smile

They have definitely done themselves a favor, repeat business is very important to them as you may buy from them again. That's certainly how my dealer played it and I probably would buy from them again.

Great outcome. As I said in the previous thread, sometimes waiting to post about a bad experience is worthwhile especially if you pursue the dealer principal route and get a satisfactory result. Makes for a much more balanced and complete report, albeit you should not have had the issues in the first place.

The treatment I received from the dealership in Exeter was nothing short of appalling.

I vowed after the incident as detailed above, they would never have my custom again, and indeed they didn't.

I eventually traded in the Vantage for a DB9 at Broughtons in Cheltenham, a long way from Plymouth, but if you want first class service that is the place to go.

The DB9 developed a couple of issues which were dealt with by Broughtons sending a technician from Cheltenham to my home to sort the problems out. Can't really get better than that

For the benefit of us other Aston owners and without naming names why can't you let us know what the problems were ?

dont take a pre db7 aston for work other than to work service or a specialist is all I can say. I think the amount says enough.
