To start the year off with a bang, I’ve looked in to an afternoon of Clay Pigeon shooting and Quad biking at Weston Lodge Shooting Ground in Portishead. www.westonlodgeshootingground.co.uk

Details are:

Clay Shooting:
Full tuition and medals for the top 3 scores
30 Shots £32pp
40 Clays £40pp
50 Clays £47pp

Quad Biking (250cc):
Includes helmets, waterproofs etc, tuition then on to a 5km trail through the woodland (no making yourself dizzy going round a like race track)
£30 per person

You can choose to do just the 1 activity or both, if you choose to do both they will knock £5 off the quad biking.

I have provisionally booked 27th Feb at 12:00. They are asking for a £10 per person deposit, so if you are sure you can make it can you add you name to the list below and which activity you would prefer to do

Name Clay Shooting Quad Biking
Mudskipper Y Y
V8S Y Y
name ? ?
name ? ?

No real minimum on the number of people, but a maximum of about 30.
They go out in groups of about 5 or 6 at a time and they take up to an hour at a time to do the trail.

Depending on the size of the group, they will start most people on the shooting whilst the a small group go out on the quads, when they have finished on the quads it's bascially a swap over. They'll go do the shooting whislt the next few go out on the bikes until all those who want to do the quad biking have had their goes

Skip? When do you have to have all attendees confirmed by?
They haven't given me a dealine yet, but i'm sure i'll end up with a phone call in the next week or 2 so will let people know. Even if you want to come along after the 'deadline' adding you on shouldn't be a problem, I would assume the deposit is to guarantee a minimum number rather than a maximum.

Late entry but...

I'd love to join you on the Quads if it's ok/not too late! Can't miss out on the sensation of speed wherever it might be had... even with a nipper on the way! smile

If on the day I'm up for it and the venue are willing to take an extra for the shooting then I might just give it a go... If not I'll provide some morale support from the sidelines... wink
No problem. I'm assuming it will just be you on the quads and the the GF & bump? smile

Hi Sandy, as you know Chris's back is bad so he can't do the quadbiking. I'm not sure if he's up to the shooting or not. I'm still up for the shooting.
Yeah no problem...I'm going to call them tomorrow anyway as the weather doesn't look too promising for saturday at the moment frown
