Dayinsure Wales Rally GB Friday Service 28/10

The one advantage to the nights now drawing in? It's Wales Rally GB time!

Friday Services are somewhat of a rare occurrence for PH, but when they come around they're rather special. Now for the first time in October we're continuing that tradition, as we have access to the Sweet Lamb stage as part of Dayinsure Wales Rally GB. This is a truly brilliant opportunity for us to introduce members to the world of stage rallying.

Since its inception in 1932, the International Rally of Great Britain has been run 71 times. It is one of only two events (along with Finland) to have retained its status as both a qualifying and scoring round of the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) since the championship was established in 1973.

Dayinsure Wales Rally GB is the penultimate round of this year's WRC. It's not our first time attending, having held a Sunday Service at Llandudno last year with special guests Nicky Grist and Derek Ringer.

From October 27-30, the Welsh countryside will be turned into one of the most gruelling and technically demanding stages in the WRC. PistonHeads has been offered access for 100 members to the Sweet Lamb rally stage in mid-Wales on Friday October 28. Not only does this give you the opportunity to experience rallying on a real stage in Wales, but the drive there and back will be sensational. With Aberystwyth and Rhayader close by, there are some incredible roads to explore in the local area.

We're giving the tickets away as 50 pairs and it's extremely important that you only put your name down if you're 100 per cent certain that you'll be attending. If you're going to attend on your own, comment to let us know so we can allocate the spare ticket to another member.

We know that attending this event may require some pre-planning and organising for those of you travelling some distance, so we have a couple of links to make this easier; see here to view and book accommodation in the area and here to get all the information you need on what's happening over the weekend.

Furthermore, if you wish to include the Friday Service as part of a full Wales Rally GB weekend, tickets are still available. See the website for more details.

Add your name to the calendar here.

See you in Wales!
