The M12's body comes in three main sections, the front and rear clamshells and the central body tub. It was produced in South Africa and is to a high standard, though like all glassfibre cars you need to check for stone chips and cracks. If damaged beyond repair, new bodywork sections are available.
One major flaw of the M12's bodywork is evident at higher speeds where low pressure outside of the cockpit causes the doors to come away along their top edge. This can let water in if it's raining and makes the cabin noisy. New seals help solve this, as does driving with one or both windows slightly open.
The 3R is easily identified by its faired-in headlights, though some non-3R cars have been upgraded with a new nose section. Most Nobles have the large rear wing that genuinely generates downforce rather than being there for reasons of style.
