PH Carpool is a chance for us all to admire the wide and eclectic four-wheeled tastes of PHers and salute those willing to put themselves forward for our weekly look at what PHers drive and how they drive them. Everyone who's volunteered themselves this year and taken the trouble to write a Carpool contribution deserves a huge thanks and to those who've emailed us already and hasn't heard back yet we will get to you in due course - promise! In the meantime, chosen in no particular order or with any real bias, are five Carpoolers who really seemed to strike a chord.

Bristol 410
Sam Frost deserves instant kudos for submitting a picture of himself and his Bristol in front of a sign for the Hotel de Bastard, encountered on one of the many roadtrips he's enjoyed in his magnificent car. A properly eccentric choice, driven with passion and commitment and the very embodiment of the PH spirit.
Rover SD1 Vitesse
The Rover SD1 is a popular PH car on account that, for PHers of a certain age, it was the kind of car our dads drove. Or aspired to. In the case of Edward Le Masurier his SD1 actually IS the car his dad drove, bought when he was just two years old. Still in the family and still going strong, the story of his Vitesse is inspiring stuff!
Ferrari 355 Spider
There's no escaping Ferrari ownership - especially Ferrari Spider ownership - brings with it a certain image that not everyone will approve of. Credit to this Carpooler for telling it like it is though, his delight in his depreciation-busting Ferrari giving him "a warm glow of satisfaction when I pass another motorist who responds by making hand gestures: I might well be a wanker, but at least I'm not losing money to depreciation and I am having fun" Amen to that.
Mercedes 500E
We all like a Q-car, especially a V8 one. And they don't come much more Q-like than Moley500's Mercedes 500E. The "one day I'll have one of these" promise he made to himself is a common theme in Carpool, the mighty Porsche-built Merc a popular appearance both at Sunday Service and on PH Carpool.
Porsche 911 C4 Cabriolet
One of our most recent Carpoolers, Jamie Banks and his no-nonsense approach to Porsche ownership received instant plaudits from PHers. "Respect to you sir!", "Proper. That is all.", "Refreshing to see such a no-nonsense approach to the use of such a car." and "Fabulous story, brimming with infectious enthusiasm." were among the immediate responses. So even though he's the most recent Carpooler we had to include him in the shortlist!
