Friends with people who are bad when drunk

Not much to tell really.
I think she may have been drinking before the date because she rocked up with badly applied eye liner, and dressed like the bd child of Ronald MacDonald and Woody from Toy Story.
I vaguely recall her having an interest in Country and Western music but this whole ensemble was just bizarre.
Her father was my Judo instructor at the time and I think after a few drinks she saw herself in the same role.
It started off playfully but then she got very aggressive and started throwing punches as well.

I have to say that I've never been on a date that resulted in any kind of playfighting, she sounds unhinged.I think she may have been drinking before the date because she rocked up with badly applied eye liner, and dressed like the bd child of Ronald MacDonald and Woody from Toy Story.

I am the annoying, pain in the backside drunk.
I have a habit of drinking to the point of memory blackouts, at which point I would begin chest poking people I really shouldnt do, either by virtue of their size or their postion, I have a number of times had to be pulled away from bosses I was reading the riot act to!
I have very little concrete memories of my time from around 18 to 20. I know that I wasnt a very nice person and hence I have only a very small number of friends from that time that will even talk to me now!
as a consequence of this I stopped drinking in July this year, I hadnt really been drunk for a couple of years before then but the 24th of July was my last drink. I tell people that it is for a year but I havent missed it one jot so see no reason why I would begine to drink again!

Urghhhhh.... This is my missus.
Quiet, shy(ish), non-confrontational, introvert when sober; loud, foot-in-mouth, embarrassing mess when drunk.
Worse still, it takes about 4 pints to reach that stage and there is no talking to her. A very simple case of 1 drink, 2 drinks, 10 drinks, gone.
It wouldn't bother me if it happened when she had drank quite a bit, I'd be drunk as well by that time. The issue is that it happens within an hour or two of drinking and increases exponentially until bedtime. It can be a real nightmare, especially if we are out for a work function.
Still, she is only 22 so I'm hoping it will pass.
I ended my last relationship because of the same reasons!Quiet, shy(ish), non-confrontational, introvert when sober; loud, foot-in-mouth, embarrassing mess when drunk.

so he stripped naked and kicked the crap out of the three doormen
Reminds me of a time when an old flatmate invited me up from London for a weekend on the sauce in his native Preston. After a pub crawl of several boozers we ended up queueing in the rain for nearly an hour to get into some sticky-carpet nightclub. Immediately as we got in and paid our money the DJ put the odious Robbie Williams', 'Rock DJ' on - the one with the video where he gets naked, was in the charts at the time. The most pissed and neanderthal of my mate's mates took it upon himself to get stark bk naked in the foyer of this club, imitating the fat dancer from Take That, much to the annoyance of the assembled bouncers.
Cue the whole lot of us being hoyed out into the rain, 8 quid lighter of pocket for no more than 90 seconds inside the club! There was nowhere else to go, so we had to get a taxi back to where my pal was living in Darwen, only for dancer boy to try to smash the cab up on the way home, cab belonging to a old grandad bloke who was doing it to top up his pension. Neanderthal bloke got to his house and did a runner without leaving any cab fare.
Livid hardly covers it. I didn't speak to my pal for several years after that, it signified us reaching a fork in the road in our friendship. 10yrs later he turned up working in my office. First morning coversation at the coffee machine was a tad awkward, but he eventually apologised for his mate being a complete , which he unsurprsingly remains to this day.
I used to know some brothers who all liked a drink.
One was a nightmare when drunk, and everyone assumed he drank more than the other two.
However it was simply the case that he started acting like a drunk tt on less booze.
In my experience, the people who are "problem" drinkers start acting drunk on less alcohol than what might be termed heavy social drinkers.

Not a friend as such, but a guy who drinks in a pub near to me in South London is absolutely crazy when he's pissed. He is the nicest guy you could ever meet when sober but on a Friday he knocks off work at midday and heads straight to the pub. 10 pints of lager and he's fine, but then he gets on the shorts and just turns into an animal and I really do mean animal. His speaking is incomprehensible, he spills his drinks all down him, falls off his bar stool etc, etc. He even has a dedicated taxi driver to pick him up at 11pm! Any normal chain pub and he'd be out on his arse, maybe I should just stop drinking in backstreet boozers!

It never passes. You grow out of certain music, certain fashion but you never change your personality.. At 22 years old I was drinking a lot (like A LOT), not to mention my fondness for the green stuff. By 25ish I had grown out of it and now only really drink in moderation.
I will add that she isn't an alcoholic; she drinks as frequently as me (one night a week or two), it just seems to effect her quickly and completely flip her personality around.
I'm a happy drunk; she is a loud, annoying, retarded drunk.
I don't think it's worth killing a relationship over; well, not unless it gets any worse.
I have a mate like this, he isn't so bad now that he is married and I don't often go out anymore, so rarely see him.
But he was a nightmare. Nicest guy ever when sober, but he went through three stages when drinking.
They were:
Happy, funny drunk
Quiet, wide eyed and stumbly drunk
Pain in the arse, confrontational and aggressive drunk
If you intervened early enough when he was at the second stage, you could prevent the third. But if he did reach the third, your night was ruined.
I've wrestled him from an upstairs window because he was trying to jump out of it into the garden, I've stood between him and a twenty stone nut case, carried him home numerous times and apologised more times than I care to mention for him being naked in public places!

My BiL. I only went out with him a couple of times in a group. He could get into a fight in a telephone box. I just couldn't work out how it either kicked off or was about to with someone (even women although nothing physical). I didn't need the hassle and ditched him after 3 attempts and Mrs 111R and other female friends telling me each time before we went out that he 'was not bad now'. He once tried to take a promotional guy for Corona 'outside' to 'sort it out'. 'It' was him knicking a bottle from the guy's promotional bucket. I smoothed it over and bought a replacement. CBA and don't need that kind of stress on a night out.

Funnily enough, that sound like my acquaintance mentioned above. The number of times I've heard that he has "turned a corner", then when I meet him he is just the same.
I had a mate who was pissed after a couple (literally).
This wouldn't be an issue if he weren't seriously strange. Tall, long hair, creepy, he sure covered all the possible rapist cards.
He eventually got done for chasing a lassie round the uni car park whilst dressed in a kilt and shouting racist, rapey threats.
Last time I saw him he wasn't much better. Nice enough guy when sober but seriously fked up when even two or three drinks were involved.

My BIL early 30's powerfully built, many demons on his shoulder that come out when he has a drink.
It doesn't happen all of the time but when it does I've never seen anybody turn he can go absolutely wild like he's possessed and can and has been a major danger to not only himself but others.
He goes for long periods of it not happening but before long the hulk is out again!
It's wrecked many if his life chances over the last 10 years or so, very sad as he's a great bloke and one I am very fond of.
