My 308 GTB has just turned 156,000 miles with one engine rebuild , more for uprating it to Factory Sprint pack spec than needing

a rebuild, slightly earlier car than the Testarossa being a 1979, ex race car but now mainly used for track days with the

occasional use on the road, still goes like a train, driving

That's just normal mileage, isn't it? It just hasn't been clocked like every other Ferrari... tongue out

Often wondered why Ferrari's never covered more than 29,000 mikes no matter what age, confused

My car was used as daily transport by it's first owner from 1979 to 1990 and covered 120,000 miles in that time being part exchanged

at Maranello's against a new 348 before being turned into a race car ,

Yeah, and then there is this… which just seems so bizarre.

A monthly report carried out on the car for over 30 years.

Whilst the value has increased, what a waste.

Yes, completely agree.

I’m actually surprised it’s not a lot more… I would have expected it to be £600k+

My early Carb 308 had 29k when I got it, but had been round the clock so it was actually 129k. I added another 10k and the guy who bought it from me has only done a pitiful 3k miles in 8 years since!

Wow didn't think there would be two out there with that type of miles,Ye mine shows 56K having gone back to zero which is nice ,at least i

know it's never had a speedo change which is rare, One of my GTS's had three speedo changes ,all documented in the service book but

just wonder how many miles were covered with it not working,

There must be more very high mileage Ferrari's out there especially on the continent.

Remember these are getting on for 40 years old now and are extremely usable compared to modern cars due to the size and ground clearance which made them hard to resist driving.

There are clearly a few out there that have had a haircut smile

Probably has Jim ,several times firmly stuck in reverse for the last few years biglaugh

That is positively low mileage now , that's just over two thousand miles a year , 74,000 is probably still considered high in the world of

Ferrari but at least it's believable unlike the 29K ones that look like it's done the mileage walking all over the seats with matching worn out

pedal rubbers. rolleyes

Well the curse of touching 30k on the clock caused me to stop using my 360 @ 29,926 miles 4 years ago except a drive up the road when I renewed a fuel pump now the value has gone down due to lack of use.

I had the same problem with my 430, because i was undecided to sell it i was trying to not go over from the latter end of 19,000 miles

but come to my senses and started to use it again, It was a relief when the speedo turned 20K to be honest, now it doesn't really matter

whether it's 20K or 23K shouldn't make any difference.It.s just psychological really, at least i haven't got that problem with the GTB.

Yes it's nice to keep the mileage on your 360 to 29K but mid 30's is still low , just go and drive the wheels off it Jim ,will do more good than

sitting there , have you still got your ltd edition RS Focus, just sold my Coombes tribute MK 2 Jag tonight and got a space in the toy

cupboard, PM me if it's still for sale ,thanks

Has the value increased? Beyond being a crime it hasn’t been driven - the original purchase price inflation adjusted for 30 years, servicing for 30 years, dealership fees. Can’t see much profit myself.

They did a video on this car some 6 months ago, can't remember if it was Tom Hartley's channel or may have been included in

"Super Cars of London's" vid, they said it had been sold , maybe it fell through or they bought it back ,looks like he hasn't

been anywhere but then that's the whole problem with that kind of mileage, need two really this one for polishing and a average mileage

one for driving,

I'm sure Mike Pullen bought and sold this very same car a few years ago, bought by a Swiss guy brand new but garaged in London

and regularly sericed every year, was told he had never even seen it, just bought it as an investment , think Mike sold it for around

£150K just before the prices went silly, after waiting that long the guy should have hung in there a little longer but we've all done that at some

time, scratchchinCrystal balls are hard to come by,

If my lottery numbers come up then I'm buying that Countach to use, after first sending it back to the factory for a thorough recommissioning at Polo Storico. It's the only way to buy a 'new' Countach and collect it from the factory in person now.
