On an organized Father's Day drive this morning. It was limited to 100 cars, mostly exotics, Lambos, Ferraris, McLarens, lots of Porsches, and my little old Pantera. Here are some pics at the staging area before the drive.

Wasn't exactly sure what this was....I don't think it is an SVJ 63, maybe 'just' an SVJ? Spotted last weekend.

It might be a DMC kit with Mansory wheels.

Beautiful car! A question, is the bi-colour bodywork standard? Ever thought about changing to all red?

I had it done that way because I always liked what it looked like on the Ferrari 512 bbi. The Pantera has a natural crease line there, and it just made it a natural place for that application. Carroll Shelby's personal Pantera was painted the same way. Since it was just painted during the restoration/modifaction a couple of years ago, it's going to stay in this configuration. When I first bought the car many years ago, it was painted in a GTS scheme with a black hood/black rear deck. I did not care for it that way and had it repainted right after I bought it.

jontysafe,
It is quite loud, a very deep rumble that sets off car alarms everywhere it travels. But why not make your next vacation destination Southern California, and you'll be welcome to take it for a weekend through some great driving roads in the mountains and canyons around Los Angeles. It would be my pleasure. About a year ago, I was contacted by someone on the Pantera Forums after seeing my car. It turned out we were pretty much neighbors, he came over and I handed him the keys. I guess he was smitten by the "fever:' because two weeks ago he bought his Pantera after selling his beautiful Acura NSX. And last weekend we took our matching cars to a car meet and greet in Malibu. Picture below.

Saw one of these on the M25 yesterday, there was an old GT40 shaped car under wraps on the back. Any idea what it was on the back?

In the last week I've spotted a Porsche 996 GT3, a Ford GT and what I think was a Ferrari F8 Tributo all within about 5 mins of Epping High St.

No photo as I was driving and it was dark but tonight I spotted a fantastic looking (assume replica) GT40 heading into Maidstone on the A26, Gulf livery and sounding fantastic! cool
