1995 Honda

Type-R NSXs very rarely come onto the market. So with the recent advert for the one for sale in Hong Kong, we thought we should get this advert live as soon as possible. Hence photos are recent ‘snaps’ of the car – more detailed photos will follow as soon as possible.

This car is Type-R Number 350 (out of a total worldwide production of 483). Manufactured in March 1995, this car was imported into the UK from Japan in 2017, with all taxes and duty paid, and has a UK registration.

We have looked after it since then. We have fixed all faults and serviced it each year. It has been lightly used by the current owner, professionally stored, and the subject of several magazine articles - we have copies.

Our last Type-R was sold to a buyer in the USA. We believe there are now only four other NSX Type-Rs in the UK. One photo shows three of these in our showroom.

This car is a genuine, factory-built Type-R with all the correct Type-R enhancements. It is in the classic Championship White with red Recaro seats and has the optional air conditioning; Bose Hi-Fi; and the 16" and 17" forged Type-R alloy wheels.

Respected Japanese Formula One driver Satoru Nakajima, and Brazilian Formula One World Champion Ayrton Senna were both involved with the development of the NSX. Many thought the compromises for the non-Japanese (ie USA) market made the car too “soft” for the real enthusiast. So the “Type-R” (only available for the Japanese market) was born. The NSX was the first model in the Honda range to receive the “Type-R” enhancements and branding.
