For sale BMW E87 118d with M47 engine. This has been a family car since 2007 and has had light use since then. The car is in good condition for its age, with lots of mechanical work and history behind it. The paint has some wear for its age, but overall good.

The car starts, drives and runs perfectly without any issues, knocks, oil consumption etc. The car has received extensive maintenance and work in the last 3 years and it has generally been a very solid car. It has mostly been used on longer than average journeys and always warmed up and cooled down in its usage cycle. Below is an outline of the work that has been performed recently (last 5 year), but more receipts are available for beyond

Bodywork: Mostly good condition for age, a few scratches and small dings / stone chips. Car has been washed and protected regularly. The front bumper was resprayed a few years ago and the lacquer has now peeled.

Engine & Gearbox Runs well, no noises or issues. Consumes no oil, no chain noises (M47s aren’t known for chain issues). Glow plugs replaced 03/2025, crank pulley replaced 06/2023, belt & tensioner replaced 03/2023, glow plug control unit replaced 01/2023, main & egr thermostats replaced 07/2019, clutch & dual mass flywheel replaced 06/2018 (LUK), inlet manifold gaskets replaced 12/2022.

Brakes: Discs & pads replaced 06/2019 (70k miles). ABS reluctor rings replaced 03/2019, brake fluid changed 07/2023, new ABS rear sensor, new front brake line (OSF) and front brake hoses replaced 02/2025.

Drivetrain / running gear / suspension / tyres: Tyres are Michelin Pilot Sport 5 (7mm tread). Inner & outer track rod ends and steering boots replaced 12/2021, front anti-roll bar links replaced 11/2021, rear shocks and anti-roll bars replaced 11/2021, front shocks & tie rods replaced 08/2021.

Servicing;

Bad points;

- Wheels are slightly corroded

- Bodywork may need touching up to be perfect – a few scratches and one car park dent

My ownership (always used fully synth Castrol, Fuchs or Titan 5w40 (BMW LL-04) – all receipts present.
