Overview: IVA tested on April 2012, this is an unmolested, genuine, top specs and perfectly kept example of GTR, built with all brand new parts. Cost over 98k Gbp to be built, with speed and reliability in mind. Very strong and fast car. The car had barely see the rain, is kept in a dry place and he was featured in many magazine. This is a good opportunity to own one of the fastest car in the world, saving lots of money from the new option.
These are the specs of this incredible machine (we are sure we forget something!):
Exterior: the bodyworks is in very good condition. There are no scratches neither stone chips. There are two very little cracks near the rear spoiler mounts (usual on these cars) but nothing that affects the overall very good conditions. The car was never involved in accident neither damaged. The rear carbon fibre spoiler, that is a 2k gbp optional, is present. Car have the optional RAC roll cage and the front/rear clam fixings were strengthened by the owner.
Interior: with its alcantara’s seats in red/black colour (custom made) paired with a couple of 6 point Willans belts, the interior have some different and higher specification than the usual Ultima’s layout. The car’s information are shown by the fully programmable AIM MXL dash, directly connected in CAN-BUS to the GM ECU. There are the user-friendly indicator stalks and the steering wheel is removable. The aircon is present and perfectly working. Moreover there is a predisposition for a double din radio and rear cam , a Spa manual fire extinguisher system. Car is protected by a Toad cat 1 alarm.
Engine: the car is powered by a new (with bill) Chevrolet Ls7 dry sumped engine, matched to an original GM ECU and wirings (with bill), dyno mapped at real 560 reliable hp (improvable) and 534 ft lbs (with dyno to prove). Lots of other nice bits like Mocal oil radiator, Peterson oil tank, gearbox oil radiator etc.
Engine runs beautifully, pulls as it should and with perfect water and oil temperature and pressure. There are 1-7/8″ ceramic coated headers paired with a Schwartz performance exhaust.
Gearbox: the reliable and proper Porsche G50/52 transaxle gearbox was provided and completely rebuilt by California Motorsport and is equipped with a new Quaife LSD and a California Motorsport Stage 1 clutch discs and pressure plate. It is managed by a California Motorsport gear changer (in central position). A Setrab gearbox oil radiator paired with Peterson filter and Tilton pump help the cooling of the gearbox’s oil when needed. The gearbox costs more than 18k dollars alone.
Suspensions / Brake: the suspensions are the usual 3ways Intrax. The car went under a full geo setup the last year, aiming to a fast road usage; the tyres consumptions are very well balanced. The owner decided to uprated the bushings all around before the geo setup.
The car have the bigger front and rear 320mm AP brakes, that is an upgrade. There is a Tilton balance bar with a Tilton remote brake bias adjuster.
The standard OZ-Ultima wheels have no marks or dents. The front tyres are ok, the rear have 1000 miles left.
Final informations: A complete service (new fluids, new oil filter, new fuel filter, new spark plugs, gearbox oil) will be done prior the delivery to the new owner.
The car is on english plate, the correct “V5c” is in our hands.
