The Rare D5 Sport 5 Cylinder Turbo diesel 50 + MPG
Top-notch diesel engine, capable of swallowing a super tanker and polishing
off a quarter of a million miles whilst hardly breaking a sweat. The 2.4
litre all aluminum five-cylinder engine is extremely frugal and oozes torque
and refinement. If you look up the word safe in the dictionary you will find
a picture a Volvo, they are among the strongest sturdiest vehicles ever made
and take safety to a different level. The engine is a real gem,
the torque that it pushes out is similar to that of a sports car, in real
world driving allows a real dynamic & versatile everyday driving experience.
The Sport is a pretty rare model, with the majority of the cars being SE
or S spec, the Sport just looks a bit different in & out.
Specification
The rare Ruby red paint shimmers & immediately differentiates this striking
sport model, the appearance being further enhanced with colored side moldings,
and fully color coded door handles & mirrors. The Excellent 17 " Orpheus alloys
shod with well heeled tyres all around. This is a seriously nice example with
some useful specification for our Winter climate. The cabin is very tidy and
will suit the fussiest of tastes, it has stood up well and crucially is clean
with a nice set of mats to finish.

There are no shortcomings to report. The original service book details a
total of 11 service stamps. No warning lights or disappointments, and in
full working order. The last service was carried out just in September
which was a major service including, oil filter with 5/30 synthetic
oil, prior to changing an oil flush was put through followed by a good
diesel conditioner for the fuel lines, the air filter was also changed.

Final Say
The v70 Sport is rather an elusive model. This one has an attractive
specification and all the necessary monies spent over the years to ensure
its a ready to run tool. As used cars go its very tidy indeed and on the
road I can only comment on a slight murmur from a drop link drivers side.
I spoke with the garage that did the last service 2 months ago as I do with
all the cars I sell wherever possible, it was surmised that it was a good
car and well looked after. The drivers seat has minimal wear as pictured.
Difficult to find another car in this price range that offers as much as
this one does, read all about the rest then come and buy this.
