1993 ROVER METRO

I am now of the age where I remember these Metros when I was a young man and have been seriously toying with the idea of keeping this in my collection rather than selling it is as I'm very unlikely to find another in this condition but unfortunately I can't keep everything that I like so am now offering this absolute beauty for sale in the hope that someone with fond memories like myself will become the next custodian and continue to look after and preserve it. I will be adding more photos when we get a break in the weather but hopefully you will see from the current batch what a time warp machine this is. The interior and in particular the seats looks almost as good as they did when it rolled out of the factory 32 years ago.

Having the K Series engine means there are about 74 Horses on tap and given the fact the car weighs about as much as a sack of feathers means it's drive is very spirited and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

Obviously these were built in a much more analogue era where you would wind the windows down by hand and parking required a little bit of muscle flexing in lieu of not having the luxury of power assisted steering.

Very much a rarity on the road these days and a great nod to a time where you could still differentiate one model of car from another, each having their own particular character.

The car has been garaged for most of the time and I believe it was waxoyled most likely at the beginning of its life which has kept the worst of any corrosion at bay. A weekend on a ramp tidying a few bits up is all it would need to make it spot on and ready for winter.

As you will see from the MOT history it has covered less than 500 miles in the past 7 years and all have been without any advisories.

It had a replacement cambelt along with water pump, spark plugs and a service in 2019 with a further oil service in 2021 and 4 new tyres in 2022.

I'm pretty confident when I say that this is well on its way to being a very sought after classic and given the prices being achieved by other manufactures equivalent little hatchbacks of this era I would suggest that it's a great place to be putting your money rather than having it sat in the bank. Instead you can have this sat in your garage which to me is a no brainer.
