Description
2005 (55 plate) Porsche 996.2 GT3 in Guards Red with black interior.
87,750 miles, MOT until Dec ’26, FSH, HPI clear with 6 former owners (one of the former owners has owned it twice).
One of the last UK 996 GT3s, supplied to Porsche Centre Wilmslow on 27th October 2005. Originally supplied as a “comfort” spec car, and used daily in its early life (hence hitting nearly 40k miles in the first 3 years). Since upgraded to a fast road/track-focused specification and drives brilliantly.
The original spec includes:
* Xenon lights
* Full on-board computer
* Colour-coded centre console
* Red seat belts
* Full OE overmat set
Beyond the regular spec, this car benefits from the following subtle modifications:
Genuine Porsche Nomex “elephant ear” seats
Genuine Porsche Tequipment half cage
Moton Clubsport 2-way dampers (refurbed by Cooksport in 2021)
GT3 RS 4.0 clutch & lightweight flywheel (fitted 2021)
Cup final drive and differential
RSS semi-solid engine mounts
Larger Alcon discs and Pagid RSL29 pads
Michelin Cup 2 tyres (fitted Spring 2025)
The car benefits from an extensive service history with the official Porsche service book, stamped as follows:

Whilst it’s a 21-year-old car, the paintwork is very good and bright (most people can’t believe the mileage when they see it), helped by full front-end PPF. There’s a little peeling at the back of the front arches, and a few small stone chips here and there, but overall it’s very good for a car of its age with no corrosion on the paintwork anywhere. The wheels aren’t kerbed but could benefit from a refurb as there are a few small chips on them if you want the car to look perfect!
The 996.2 GT3 has been a dream car of mine ever since it won EVO Car of the Year in 2003, and finally, two years ago, I was able to make that dream a reality.
I bought this to keep, but sadly my business has hit hard times and I need the money to start a new business. I’ll be gutted to see it go, but needs must!
In the 996 GT3 Owners Club group there’s a saying that every GT3 needs £10,000 spending on it to bring it up to scratch because most that come to market have a patchy service history with little to show beyond routine oil changes. This car has already had £25,000 spent on it in the past few years, so it’s ready to drive and enjoy!
