944 Turbo SE 250BHP. First registered 01/06/1988. 93272 miles. 1 of only 70 C16 RHD drive Turbo SE examples. Finished in Guards Red with a special order Beige Porsche Logo Cloth interior. Factory ordered with the desirable sunroof delete.

The 'SE' received a number of enhancements over and above the standard factory Turbo. Koni adjustable dampers and M030 springs were a standard feature as were upgraded brakes from the 928, along with more substantial anti roll bars and an LSD.

This specific car recently featured in the special Edition publication 'Road Rat' celebrating 75 years of Porsche Cars in the UK. The car is both sorted and beautifully presented. In recent years the car has benefited from a full engine rebuild and replacement clutch by renowned Porsche Specialist Parr. Recent cambelt, water pump, tensioner belt, fluids, plugs and filters as well as Pirelli N rated tyres place this car in perfect order. Other highlights include a £20,000, no expense spared mechanical overhaul by the Official Porsche Centre at Hatfield along with a full bare metal, glass out respray carried out by a recognised, manufacturer approved, bodyshop. Consequently, and unsurprisingly, therefore, bodywork is rust free and the paint work flawless. Internally the car is well preserved with the exception of some minor wear to the fabric on the driver's seat.

The history file is very well ordered. Investment is recent rather than historic whilst the bodywork restoration is evidenced by a number of high-quality prints throughout various stages of the process. These prints, along with supporting invoices and supporting MOT's, accompany the car.

In March of 1998, when values of these cars were significantly lower, the car was damaged, sustaining left door and left rear quarter damage, consequently it was added to the Vehicle Condition Register with a Category C insurance marker placed against it. An accompanying HPI report confirms this and the timing thereof. The car was subsequently repaired to a high standard and with the aforementioned bare metal restoration in 2023 (commissioned some 25 years after the initial repair) further validating the quality of the historic repair as evidenced by the accompanying high-resolution stills of the restoration process.

This 944 Turbo SE is keenly priced and represents a significant saving from the circa £50,000 market value of an unrecorded example in comparable mechanical and cosmetic condition. This very special and significant car is unmolested, unmodified and cherished and drives perfectly.

The car is currently registered on a cherished plate of ’88 RED’ which is not included within the asking price, but may be purchased under separate negotiation.

This is a collector graded condition car that would very much suit a Porsche collector and marque enthusiast.
