EXTERIOR

Finished in the rare and highly attractive Lazurblau Metallic, this E34 525i M Sport presents exceptionally well and has clearly been cherished throughout its life. The paintwork retains a deep, consistent gloss with excellent colour uniformity across every panel, while the body remains impressively straight with excellent panel gaps. The M Sport body styling includes deeper front and rear valances, side skirts, and subtle boot spoiler, all of which remain in excellent condition. The trim, mouldings, and bumper inserts have aged beautifully, with no notable fading or deterioration, complementing the overall presentation perfectly. Glass, lights and exterior brightwork are equally well preserved, with clear lenses, excellent rubbers, and clean window surrounds. Completing the look are the original cross-spoke alloy wheels, all presenting superbly having previously been refurbished.

INTERIOR

The ‘extended’ pale leather interior has been exceptionally well conserved and is a fitting complement to the car's excellent exterior presentation. The seats remain in superb condition with only light, age-related wear to the driver's bolster, while the rear seats, carpets, Alcantara headlining, and door cards all present beautifully. The dashboard is free from any cracks or sun damage, the sports leather steering wheel displays only gentle patina, and all switchgear remains in excellent order. Equipment includes air conditioning, an electric sunroof, electric windows, electric mirrors, central locking and a period-style Blaupunkt Valencia DAB stereo, blending modern functionality with the car's original character.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

In the last 4 years more than £10k has been invested in preserving and improving the car, with every invoice retained in the history file. In July 2022, a major recommissioning service was carried out by Classic Bahnstormers at a cost of £3,433. This included a full BMW Inspection II service, engine oil and filter, air and fuel filters, spark plugs, differential oil, coolant and brake fluid changes, a front brake overhaul, front anti-roll bar links, ignition coil replacement, extensive electrical repairs to the door loom, ABS wiring rectification, lighting repairs and catalyst fault diagnosis.

The car has continued to benefit from specialist BMW dealer maintenance throughout its recent life. In November 2024, BMW Málaga completed a comprehensive climate control restoration costing €1,451, replacing the blower motor, blower resistor, climate control panel, AC relay and cabin filter, alongside a full air-conditioning service. A further preventative service followed in June 2025 (€611), including engine oil and filter, air and fuel filters, cabin filter and a full vehicle inspection.

One of the highlights of the history file is an extensive preservation programme undertaken by BMW AG Munich in August 2025, with an invoice totalling €4,222. Work included a complete suspension refresh with new front and rear top mounts, spring pads, bump stops and dust covers, brake fluid and ABS hydraulic servicing, cooling system service, replacement of the power steering suction hose and seals, numerous interior restoration items, paintless dent removal, and a range of detailed preservation work to ensure the car remained in exceptional condition.

Most recently, in April 2026, BMW Munich completed a full air-conditioning recommissioning at a cost of €1,313.96, fitting a new receiver-drier, compressor tensioner, auxiliary belt, and seals before carrying out a vacuum test and refrigerant recharge, together with an engine oil and filter service.

HISTORY FILE

Originally supplied new to the Japanese market, this 1993 E34 spent the first 27 years of its life in Japan before being exported to Dubai in 2019. During its time in the UAE, it became well known within BMW enthusiast circles, being displayed in a BMW showroom and attending a number of BMW and classic car events. It relocated to Europe in 2021 and, rather unusually for such a low-mileage example, has been properly used and enjoyed. It has undertaken numerous continental road trips through Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Andorra and Italy, covering approximately 10,000 km since 2022. Now presenting with only 35,000 km (21k miles) from new, this is a particularly special E34, combining exceptionally low mileage with documented provenance and a level of recent investment rarely seen on a car of this age.
