Introduced in 1985, the Uno Turbo i.e. transformed FIAT's sensible European supermini into a genuine performance car, combining compact dimensions and low weight with a turbocharged 1.3-litre engine producing around 105bhp

Weighing little more than 900kg, the Turbo i.e. offered an impressive power-to-weight ratio and was capable of 0-62mph in around 8.3 seconds, making it a seriously quick car by mid-1980s standards

The MK1 Uno Turbo is now regarded as one of the more interesting survivors from the 1980s hot hatch boom. Its digital dashboard, boost gauge, red detailing, sports seats and distinctive Cromodora alloy wheels give the cabin and exterior an unmistakably period character
