Believed to have remained with its last owner in Italy for approximately 40 years before returning to the UK

An early, left-hand drive SB carburettor model, finished in elegant Sable Metallic with its original black leather interior, original carpets, trim and headlining

Retains a number of desirable original features, including its rare factory radio, correct exhaust tailpipe trims and exterior chrome and stainless steel brightwork

Accompanied by three archive box files containing original factory parts books, workshop manuals, service literature and extensive Automobile Club of Italy documentation, including the car's official vehicle passport

Recently inspected by Andrew Brodie Engineering, whose report confirms the car to be in good overall mechanical condition, noting a recently serviced engine, evidence of a gearbox overhaul, replacement clutch, stainless steel exhaust system and desirable Michelin XWX tyres

Further benefiting from replacement hydraulic spheres, new front discs and pads, a new windscreen and only a handful of optional upgrades recommended for regular city use

Having recently been driven through central London, the SM behaved impeccably, attracting admiring glances wherever it went and serving as a timely reminder why the Citroën SM remains one of the most charismatic grand tourers of its era
