I have not rolling road tested the new engine but have done a few hundred miles now and it is significantly quicker than the previous, box standard, pinto. According to Snapper on the LCB forum these mild mods should put out a conservative 135+bhp which in something of this light weight gives remarkable acceleration.
It is currently running a 38/38 DGAV (3 litre Capri carb) and may deliver more with twin 45s or good bike carbs.
Beyond this more bhp could be released by fitting larger valves and some porting [ or you could always go for a modified Duratech or a V8 in the future ]
Caster, camber, toe in and corner ride heights were kidly checked and setup by IndyBird on the LCB forum.
-----------
A good useable road going 7 esque car with one of the best handling chassis that can be driven and enjoyed as it is for years - or a platform for further upgrades for someone who wants to start with a ready built MK Indy and put their own stamp on it.
The car is in Southend. Viewing is recommended but please only view and drive the car if you have a genuine intention to buy and have the funds available.
MOT is to May (I can put a full year's MOT on it if required). Tax is to June
Offers are always welcome though the nearer to the asking price the offer is the more seriously it will be taken.
I am active on the LCB and Haynes forums and am a member of the MK club.
Genuine reason for sale (I am not bored with it !)
