For sale is my 2018 Volkswagen Golf GTE DSG, currently showing 69,065 miles. This will increase slightly whilst this advert is live.

This is a fantastic combination of performance, economy and everyday practicality. The car has been well cared for throughout my ownership and benefits from a full service history, with 3 owners from new.

The car has also had a number of tasteful modifications, making it considerably more engaging to drive than a standard GTE whilst retaining the OEM Golf appearance and practicality.

Performance & modifications

* Stage 1 ECU remap - approximately 300bhp - Carried out by no.1 GTE specialist in the UK (Ubercode).

* DSG gearbox remap - Also done by Ubercode.

* H&R lowering springs - Carried out by Tune X.

* 18" OEM Volkswagen Cadiz alloy wheels, upgraded from the standard 17" wheels.

* Tinted rear windows - Carried out by Exec Spec.

- I have invoices/proof of work carried out for the remap, lowering springs and tinted windows.

The combination of the Stage 1 and DSG remap makes a noticeable difference to the performance and response of the car, whilst the H&R springs give it a sportier stance and sharper handling.

Despite the modifications, it remains a very usable everyday car and retains all the benefits of the GTE's plug-in hybrid system, including electric-only driving for shorter journeys and the ability to combine the electric motor with the petrol engine when you want more performance.
