1995 PORSCHE 911

The 993 was the final generation of air-cooled 911 and remains one of the easiest classic Porsches to use regularly. It retained the compact proportions and character of the earlier cars, but with a more developed chassis and a noticeably more modern driving experience. In Cabriolet form, it makes an excellent road car for longer journeys as well as weekend use.

This 1995 example is finished in Slate Grey Metallic over a Marble Grey and black interior. It is a particularly understated combination, complemented by the factory 17-inch Cup Design wheels.

The option sticker records L23F, PJ, C16, 233, 398, 437, 438, 551 and 567. Its factory specification includes C16 UK-market equipment, electrically adjustable comfort seats for both driver and passenger, a wind deflector and a top-tinted windscreen.

Behind the rear axle sits Porsche’s 3.6-litre air-cooled flat-six, the defining feature of the 993 and an engine that gives the car much of its character. With the roof lowered and the wind deflector fitted, the Cabriolet is equally suited to a Sunday morning drive or a longer trip.

The service history is one of the strongest parts of this example. Its early maintenance was carried out by Lancaster Porsche, with six recorded visits between 1997 and 2002.
