Service History

This is a nice example of the MK2 Toyota MR2, it is a UK T-Bar model in Cosmos Blue (pretty rare) and is a revision 5 (last revision to be manufactured and has special wheels & spoiler).

Interior

The car benefits from a full black leather interior which is in very good condition, no rips or tears and the driver’s seat bolster is still in fine condition. The car still has the two roof inserts which fit underneath the glass T-bar panels to block the sun. It also has the original protective bags that the glass T-bar panels are stored in when driving with the roof off. There is a pioneer CD player and some upgraded speakers.

Exterior

The car has been kept completely as it was when it left the factory, with the exception of the exhaust. This has been replaced by a previous owner for stainless steel back box. The noise of this exhaust on idle and steady driving is the same if not quieter than stock, but when you rev the engine higher it produces a very nice burble. It is definitely not an exhaust that draws unnecessary attention.

The wheels are the original Rev5 15” Alloy wheels, these have been refurbished in the not too distant past but are not perfect, they don’t have any curbing just a few marks here & there. The rear tyres are brand new and the fronts are only a few thousand miles old.

The paintwork on the car is very good for its age (15 years old) but as you would imagine it does have some scratches, stone chips etc. Points to note are two small dings on the nearside bonnet/wing (one either side of the panel gap)

Mechanical

This car doesn’t feel like it’s done 60,000 miles let alone 130K, its responsive, smooth, reliable and a real pleasure to drive. In the time that I have owned the car it has been serviced frequently (oil & filter), new discs & pads all round (this was done last year) new tyres (mentioned above) new alternator. If anything has needed to be done I have done it and it has never let me down.

Summary

A great summer sports car that is ready to go for the coming summer, 12 months MOT, new tyres, recent brakes & service. The reason for sale is I am just in the process of buying a house and have stamp duty & Solicitors to pay. Very reasonable priced for a very good car.
