Description
2008 58 plate JDM Civic Type R FD2, I am the second owner and have owned it for 5 years and since 9000 miles. Car currently has 26,500 miles on it. Its in the lower tax band (£280 a year) and is taxed until August. Mot due 19th of August also. Car never had any advisories for MOT's. Car has wanted for nothing and has been a labour of love for me. I have only fitted what I deemed to be the best parts available. Recently fitted with ACT stage one clutch (less than 1000 miles ago). The car has full service history for my ownership. previous owner provided receipt for first oil change which I still have but there was no stamp in the book. car has been serviced every year since I have owned it (regardless of mileage) at a local Honda specialist to me, Automek. While he was fitting the new clutch I got the sub frame powder coated the same colour as the wheels as it was starting to look grubby. Car was also fully under sealed again at this time. Last service was completed in Feb last year and so will be serviced again prior to sale.
As with any car unfortunately it is not without its bad points so I will list them here as I'm not trying to hide anything.
Despite my best efforts there are some stonechips to the front of the car, nothing major and while I would say its in better than average/excellent condition its not "brand new"
Bodywork is genuine and never had any accident damage or paintwork. no dents or scratches on the bodywork at all.
Front brake caliper laquer has started to peel (been like that actually from before I bought the car)
On the subject of brakes its currently fitted with carbotech XP8 pads (approx. half worn) which are fantastic but can squeal a little from time to time when cold. Also have some Ferrodo DS2500 pads which I will supply with the car.
I had the wheels refurbished in titanium but they didn't do the best job if I'm being honest. they still look great don't get me wrong just could have been better.
The car has also been used on track a couple of times which may put some people off but it was always warmed up and cooled down properly. It’s never had any off track (or road) incidents and never used for competitions or anything like that, just for fun. I'd like to think the next person would use it on track also.
The car was featured in total Honda magazine of which I have a copy that I can provide with the car should the buyer wish it.
