Shell/engine:

It's a good solid shell and almost rust free which is rare for its year and miles, there is surface bubbling on the front driver side arch and the rear arches have just started to go right underneath, there is no rust visible from looking at the rear arches. The 5 speed manual transmission changes faultlessly and the clutch bites well with no slippage so I assume its been changed. The engine pulls very well indeed and goes like a rocket being an alusil lump, the whole car feels very fresh and I don't believe this has seen a day of mistreatment its whole life.

This shell/engine/gearbox is the ideal set up for a track car and is a better all round track car than an E36 M3 due to the much lighter engine block resulting in better handling, finding a non sun roof is difficult.

The paintwork is very nice and the paint is all original with no signs of paintwork having been done as it matches looking the entire way down the sides, front and rear etc. It has a set of keys and one alarm fob which operates the central locking and comes with the original bmw wallet with manuals and service book (bmw up to 60k) and a few receipts thereafter. There was a large dent on the driver side rear quarter that was caused by someone reversing into it, the original owner had this pulled out which was obviously paint less but a small one still remains which could be pulled out more so, it personally doesn't bother me. He claimed on his insurance for this and they have placed it down as a CAT D due to this which is pathetic as was the previous owner for claiming in the first place. The cars panels are all original as is paint and its never been involved in an accident what so ever, ANY inspection is welcome. I didn't let this put me off due to the condition and the value of it - I have pictures of the original dent to prove as I am simply being honest.

ALL the window seals are very good, the front windscreen ones have not pealed at the base like nearly all E36 + E46! The rear windscreen is just as good and the car doesn't fog up inside like most due to the seals being in good condition. The electrics all work fine with no dead pixels anywhere on the console. FULL Inspection 2 service just done on 10/1/15 inc the following

X6 NGK Sparks

X2 New window wipers.

For the MOT this year it required:

New driver side lower arm

New drop links (both sides)

New front bushings costing a total of £200!!!

Nothing mechanically needed for 12k/1 year.

I have been using it as a toy and its a nice change from my daily 2008 330D Coupe, I genuinely love E36's and have done since I was a young lad and love the fact this is factory, drives as nice as it does. They are hard to find in this condition now, its clearly been very well cared for and garaged for a lot of its life, they do not come up every day at this price, some crusty old ones are up for £2500+.
