1999 TVR

Reluctantly, due to lack of use, I have decided to sell my beautiful Chimaera. She is a 1999 model in Crystal Verdi (a silvery mint colour), with green full hide interior.

I have owned this car twice, originally buying it as the second owner in 2006 (at 46k miles), then selling her in 2011 and buying her back again in 2013.

In 2008, I took her to TVR Power, where she had the full Taraka+ upgrade (technical details can be found on the TVR Power website)… which raised her from the original 280bhp to 333 BHP, but more importantly 349 ft/lbs of lovely torque.

At the same time she had an uprated clutch fitted, along with nitron shock absorbers, a headlamp conversion to the new spec, and a front end re-spray to remove a few small stone chips.

All of this was done at a mileage of 47k – she now has 56k.

The body work is near perfect, with just a small scratch to the right rear end…. It only shows up after being waxed, and is really a very minor imperfection on an otherwise beautiful car. The wheels are the original estorils – all perfect, no blemishes, and all have toyo proxes with good tread depth remaining. The mohair hood is the original, and in perfect condition, as is the rear screen – this car has always been kept in a garage, and it shows. The interior is also perfect – it has the factory fitted full hide option with contrasting hand stitching. The walnut dashboard is the original and is perfect, no scratches or chips. She has had the full Leven aluminium treatment inside too.

The chassis is original, and is in very good condition… there are some small areas of flaking, but these have been left, rather than painted over…. The car has rarely been used in the wet during my ownership, and definitely not when roads are salty.
