Description
New car is here so final price reduction.
First things first, if you are looking at this advert then you will more than likely know that the DC2 Integra was voted best FWD handling car in the world at one point. I would recommend searching for that EVO magazine article, it makes interesting reading.
About Me
I am a mature enthusiast and even though this was a trade in, I have owned and ran many B18, B16 and H22 VTEC cars in the past. I understand the importance of ONLY using V-Power fuel and also waiting until the car is fully warmed up before engaging VTEC.
About The Car
- 2000 Honda Integra Type R
- Milano Red(Very Rare colour) with Black Interior
- 88,804 Miles (will rise as being used daily)
- Service History(See below for more detailed information)
- MOT until October 16th 2015 (No Advisories on Previous)
- Last owner had the car from 2009 and first owner from new.
Modifications
This is mainly an untouched car, the only modifications are as follows:
- AEM V1 Induction Kit(The Noise when in VTEC is sublime)
That's it, no loud exhausts, nobody has messed around with the engine, no subwoofers or bling interiors. The car even has the original Pioneer Stereo that came from the factory!
Service History 9/10
Service book has 8 stamps as it should which are at the following mileages;
03/04/02 - 10,095 miles @ Avonvale Honda
10/07/09 - 38,261 @ RR and Jaguar Wolvey
03/07/10 - 46,261 @ Westhill Garage Ltd
14/07/11 - 54,808 @ Westhll Garage Ltd
26/04/12 - 65,201 @ Westhill Garage Ltd
03/04/13 - 72,508 @ Westhill Garage Ltd
09/09/13 - 78,404 @ Westhill Garage Ltd
15/02/14 - 80,100 @Westhill Garage Ltd
I am not sure why there is no history between 2002 and 2009 however the last owner assured me that he has kept it more than up to date as he is also a Honda Enthusiast.
The car uses absolutely no oil, it is something I check, everytime I fill up.
I noticed that the car was pulling to the left when accelerating so I checked the tyre pressures which were fine, however the tread was getting a little low. I had a set of Bridgestone Potenza RE002 tyres in the garage which are now on the car. I also had the tracking done at the same time and now the car has absolutely no issues.
Interior 8/10
- Black Recaro seats: Overall in good condition, a little wear on the bolsters and could do with a decent clean.
- Drivers side window doesn't go down and I have been told it is a motor that needs replacing.
- Everything else works as it should.
- The rear seats haven't been sat in by the looks of it.
- There were no mats with the car, so these have been ordered up and should be here in a couple of days.
- Being the 2000 model, it has the nicer steering wheel inside. Same steering wheel as the Ferrari 550 Maranello!!!!
Exterior 7.5/10
- First of all, the Milano Red paint on this car overall is in excellent condition, most other ITR's have faded to an almost Milano Pink but this is still a deep deep red which looks beautiful when the sun hits it. It is certainly my favourite Type R colour.
- There is a little bubbling of paint starting on the rear drivers arch where it meets the sill, if I was to keep the car I would say this is something that should be looked at before winter. (Pics can be provided, just ask)
- Bonnet has a couple of small dings, again pics can be provided.
- Rear panel under bumper looks like it has been bumped at some point, been quoted £35 to replace this.
- Taking into count that it is a 15 year old car, there are a few small chips and scratches(could probably be polished out)
- The Colour is stunning once it is polished, I have not seen another Milano Red car like this(pictures do not do it justice)
- Aerial is missing but can still pick up radio stations.
Drive 10/10
- I would highly recommend you come to drive this car if you are in the market for an ITR. VTEC is strong, it pulls as it should with no smoke.
- Gear changes are sharp and slick, as mentioned previously, no crunches into any gear.
- Brakes are fantastic, recently had new discs and pads all round.
- Excellent Bridgestone Potenza tyres, front are practically new and rear have only around 5k miles on them. The car corners wonderfully as it should, it literally sticks to the road.
- Fuel Economy is good, I average around 34-35 on a commute to work and 26-27 if I am driving in a more spirited manner.
Apologies for the length of the advert but I know that these cars are becoming rarer by the day and I just wanted to be completely honest with anyone thinking of coming to see the car.
I don't feel that I have over priced the car so I would appreciate it if you wouldn't make me any silly offers as they will be ignored. This is a genuine low mileage example but rather than ask for £5k+ as many other sellers do, I thought I would price it competitively.
If you would like any more detailed pictures please drop me an email and I will be happy to send them over.
I was planning to keep the car, fix the little bits that need done and own a car that is a future classic but I have that S2000 bug.
If you would like a test drive, please bring proof of insurance with you.
The car is based in Bishopbriggs, just outside of Glasgow.
Thanks for reading and if this isn't for you, then good luck with your search.
