(Now Sold - collecting Friday) 2004 Westfield Megabusa (TTS Engine Upgrade)

This car is now sold and is being collected Friday - I am reluctantly selling my beloved Westfield Megabusa as I am moving abroad for a few years, I have had the car for 2 and a half years and it runs like a dream.
This car is not for the faint hearted as it is currently running 194BHP and weighs a mere 490KG (you do the maths), it is blisteringly quick and handles like nothing I've ever driven before, I have used it mainly for the occasional track day and hill climbing but no more than three times a year. The 0-60 is said to be close to 3.5 seconds and in the tight sections of the track a Ferrari 458 italia will struggle to shake you off (as a much disgruntled Ferrari owner discovered at Silverstone).
The car has never been in an accident and the previous owner built the car from scratch, he has provided bills amounting to £27,000, the car has fully adjustable race spec Nitro suspension which has been professionally set up by Westfield (this car handles like it is on rails), It also has a Reverie Airbox with Ram Air. It has a Landrover Limited Slip Differential and a Westfield Reverse Box (not the naff electric reverse box). The car also has a Westfield Megabusa Dry Sump kit which is a key element if you want a bike engined car to perform at its best. The 4 point Willans Harnesses will keep you firmly in place and the full "Caged" roll cage will keep you safe.
We have installed a gear indicator and a large rear view mirror. The only part that has needed replacing was a starter clutch which was done recently as the old one was on its way out.
The car comes with two sets of wheels, the Image Split Rim's look amazing, we keep our full wets (Road Tyres) on these. Both sets of tyres have plenty of tread, I've heard people say that track days eat tyres and brakes, maybe I'm not driving hard enough but this car hardly uses any rubber or pads in my experience. The car also has a second exhaust system to keep the noise down as some tracks have a noise limit, it runs at around 95db on the louder exhaust, I’ve never had the need to install the quieter exhaust so it’s not been measured.
The engine is absolutely sublime, it was bought for £2,800 from RBM Bolton then fully rebuilt and upgraded in 2008 by TTS of Northampton amounting to a total cost of £7,200. It has been re-bored (to 1.4) new Gas Flow Cylinder head, uprated Cam Sprockets, Higher 5th and 6th Gear Ratios, Uprated Clutch Billet, uprated Crankshaft. In 2008 the car was running at a BHP of 180 and Torque of 102lbs, we had the Power Commander set up in 2014 and the car now runs at 193.6 BHP and 104lbs Torque. I have the Dyno Graphs for both of these.
This is not a car for trundling around on a Sunday afternoon, it is a race spec Westfield that is road legal, it is by far the fastest Westfield/Caterham etc that I have seen on a track day, the owner of a Caterham R500 was vary disappointed that I wasn't a professional race driver after he couldn't shake us off at Abingdon! There are a few Mega Blades out there which you may be fooled into thinking are a similar car, but with this engine, you are looking at a completely different kettle of fish, the extra BHP and Torque of this engine will blow you away.
I am happy to have the car ready for a demonstration if you would like to see her in action, the condition of this car is near perfect, it has always been stored in a heated garage by both of its keepers.
the car has an amazing low mileage of 8424 miles and is MOT'd until July, 2 keepers from new, lovingly polished and waxed after every use (sad I know, in some cases a toothbrush was used and the expensive wax came out!!).
As with any specialist car, there are always hundreds of questions that you could ask so feel free to fire away and I'll see if I can find the answers for you but in a nutshell this is a blisteringly quick, low mileage, reliable, cheap to run track car that I'll never forget (and will regret selling!!). I have all of the original receipts dating back to the original build of the car showing that no expense has been spared on this car! I also have lots of spare bits like brake pads, smaller roll cage, original boot etc that you are welcome to.
