Description

1992 Lancia Delta Intergrale EVO
52,000 miles Fully UK Registered. 1 owner in Austria. 1 owner UK.
First seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1979, the Lancia Delta Integrale is best known for its domination of The World Rally Championship in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Constantly being developed, the first ‘Evoluzione' cars were built at the end of 1991 and carried on through 1992 and these 'Evoluzione' models were to be the final homologation cars built for the Lancia Rally Team competing under the Martini Racing banner.
In the never-ending quest for better handling, the Evoluzione had a wider front and rear track than earlier Deltas and in order to squeeze this under the bodywork, the already wide wheel arches were extended even further and in the process also became more rounded. The 'new' Integrale retained the four-wheel-drive layout with an epicyclic centre diff and torque splitter, plus a Ferguson viscous coupling and Torsen rear differential. The engine, although technically the same as the earlier 16V cars, was remapped to give 210bhp at 5750rpm in order to compensate for the slight increase in weight and increased frontal area. These improvements were aimed at maximising the potential of the car and it worked, with the developed car shaving over 5% off previous stage times on asphalt and gravel.
October 1991 saw the debut of a new phase in the career of the HF Integrale: Evolution. The iconic wider wheel arches because of the wider tracks as seen on this example. New front suspension and several improvements to the rear suspension as well. More robust braking system and steering box. The power output was up to 210 bhp and performance achieved a major leap forward in terms of drivability, road holding and active safety.
This Lancia HF was delivered in 12th June 1992 to Austria where it remained in a private collection for over 20 years before being imported to the UK in 2015. Included in the paperwork is its original Austrian documentation.
A rare, (one of only 4 believed to be in the UK) stunning and low mileage HF Intergrale Evolution finished in Derby Green Metallic (appears almost black in anything other than bright light), Grey Alcantara Recaro Seats and Alcantara Headlining.
Lovely original Intergrale in exemplary condition both inside and out.
We have been through this car mechanically and cosmetically, many thousands of pounds spent, the end product is one of the very best HF Intergrales you could hope to find. Ready to be enjoyed or would happily fit into any collection.
