GENERAL
Really sad to be moving the car on, but I have another project that I'd like to concentrate on.
The bodywork is structurally sound, but there are scuffs, scratches and light dents on all surfaces. The paint is scruffy and there are areas where mis-matching touch-ups have been applied. There are star-cracks on the plastics.
The chassis is fine, but would benefit form a few touch-up's here and there.
So you get the idea that it’s no show-queen, but it’s also nowhere near a basket-case. It's cosmetic condition is very much commensurate with the cars age and miles.
I actually quite like its patina!
The car turns like a house-fly, stops on a sixpence, and is stupidly-fast.
The only mechanical aspects that I would draw your attention to is that the axle gets quite noisy during slow-speed manoeuvres when hot. I’m told that this is normal for plated-LSD’s, but it’s the first plated-diff that I’ve ran, so I can't be sure. It may be something - it may be nothing... I genuinely don't know. I’d planned to remove the plated diff in any case and replace it with a Quaife ATB (lifetime warranty - fit and forget... and you'd get decent money back on the sale of the old Tran-X unit).
The speedo has recently started working intermittently. I suspect that the cable drive has come loose at the gearbox end.
I am the third owner. The first owner had it for over 20 years and spent well over £10k in his last 10 years of ownership (folder of receipts to prove).
The car is HPI clear.
It comes with 12 months MOT
VERY sensibly priced at £9450.
