Final reduction to £4700 - I have seen a replacement car - very different to the Jag - if the car does not sell before Friday then it will be removed from sale and kept

My much loved and cared for S Type R - less than 1300 produced and now being the recognition that they have always deserved, a true E39 M5 alternative, a lot less common and a lot cheaper

I looked at many before buying this in Nov 2014 - some cheaper, some more expensive - this car represented the best compromise and in my ownership it has been improved.

The underside has been comprehensively cleaned and treated with Bilt Hamber (used in the North Sea oil industry) anti corrosion products - it remains spotlessly clean.

The paintwork is glass smooth, being regularly clayed, polished and waxed, yes it has stone chips and a few marks here and there but its way better than most I viewed and represents a 100% honest and original car.

Leather is regularly cleaned and treated - no rips or tears

The wheels have been refurbished and are virtually unmarked - one wheel has a tiny chip - no kerbing on any of them

The only disappointment I had with the car was that it was just too quiet, I have therefore had the rear silencers removed and straight through pipes fitted by Longlife Exhausts with OE rear tailpipes - no noisier than standard when cruising but full on V8 roar when accelerating

Original plastic inlet pipe replaced with bigger bore stainless steel item although original will be supplied

Subtly reworked engine cover fitted - original will also be supplied

The only options this car does not have is voice control and the upgraded sound system - it has an integrated phone and the rare glass sunroof.

Absolutely everything works on this car - no fault codes present either

Mileage is 92,000 - 75,000 on clocks but cluster was replaced by Jaguar at nearly 17,000

EVERY MOT is present from new, last two in my ownership passed with no advisories - current MOT runs until late June 2017 - Severn Valley Motorsport who I always use for repairs and MOTs commented on how good the car was when it was in for its last MOT

Jaguar and specialist history until 83,000. In my ownership it has had its oil and filter changed every 6 months, filters always OE and Fuchs Ford / Jag spec oil used - car also has a Pipercross filter fitted so no need to ever change this

Discs are not lipped so plenty of life in them

Uses absolutely no oil or water

I have a collection of spares accumulated - an iCarsoft OBD diagnostic tool, spare set of injectors and fuel rails, spare rear lights etc which I am happy to include upon negotiation.

Faults - the headlight washer covers have faded and the front tyres have a couple of thousand miles in them - not marked as MOT advisiories though

I have priced the car at the bottom end of the market - this is in no way a reflection of the cars condition - more a case of preferring a reasonably quick sale

If you are looking for a genuine and honest S Type R at a more than decent price then this is worthy of serious consideration
