TVR Taimar Turbo 1978

This is the most beautiful car that I have ever owned, it has phenomenal performance and is an astonishingly rare piece of highly significant British automotive history. It is with great sadness that I must offer it for sale.

This car benefits from the fitting of 3pot calipers front, electronic ignition, electronic boost retard system, Adrian Venn carb modifications including baffle and re-jetting, larger radiator, twin electric cooling fans, and oil cooler. There is a Lambda port on exhaust to help set-up, new alloy fuel tank with swirl pot, and unleaded heads by the legendary V6 essex expert John Wade. The starter motor, waterpump and alternator are recent too. It went through the MOT test without any advisories. Lots of receipts and photographic record of body off chassis rebuild. Paintwork is no longer it’s former immaculate self and beginning to show it’s age in some areas and the interior with it’s wonderful vintage patina would benefit from a freshen up. Original owner’s handbook. Whilst in my ownership has been entirely looked after by Adrian Venn (exactly-tvr.demon.couk) the TVR turbo specialist. I do suggest a precautionary spanner check and tune-up as it has done virtually no miles in last 6 years.

Chassis no. 4207FM (for those in the know) it has a sunroof and it will become road tax free next year.
