Designed and built by Porsche restoration legend Rod Emory this 356 is the original Outlaw. The exterior is painted in Fish Silver Grey and is complemented with an impeccable Barber Pole Red Leather interior. The previous owner commissioned Rod Emory to build this car for him with this 1960 356B roadster (Californian car) built to his specification back in 2009. The car was purchased through Rod Emory, who at the time had the car in his workshop. We have photographs of the car at Rod Emorys shop in Oregon when it was first commissioned and the history includes detailed emails back and forth between Rod Emory and the previous owner discussing the build at various stages of the 2-year restoration. The car was imported into the UK in October 2012 and then UK registered. The total cost of the build including the purchase of the car was in excess of $225000 in the 2009- 2012 period. The fit and finish of this car in our opinion is one of the best we have seen and is the reason why Rod Emory is as successful as he is today. This is an early Emory car and as you will see from the e-mails the previous owner was dealing directly with Rod himself, not one of his staff as it is today. The car is in fact supplied with two engines, the installed engine is the original matching numbers 356 engine however alongside this we have the Rod Emory 907 engine modified and ready to be dropped straight into the car. Both engines come with the car and allow the driver a choice before taking delivery. Some of the options fitted to this car include: louvred rear deck lid, Nardi Steering wheel, GT side mirrors, Bench seat, 904 combo gauge, Fuel tank (Bonnet filler cap), GT bumpers, upgraded suspension, Lightweight wheels, Bonnet straps, hood handle delete and other minor modifications., The car is truly unique and has been tastefully finished ready for the next owner to enjoy.
