Description

*Update* She's gotta go so I've dropped the price :( We've finished a house extension and I've only got room for two cars now so it won't be coming back home from my parents place in Nottinghamshire now. Anyway, to the ad.
I've owned this 2000 GTV 3.0 V6 since November 2017 buying it not 5 minutes from my house after walking passed and lusting after it for for years. The last owner only sold it as her knees were not the best and she couldn’t operate the clutch any more. She actually cried when I collected it which was a great sign if I’m honest.
Immediately I sent it over to Auto Lusso who completed a huge amount of work but all to either prevent any rust and correct any issues they found that would stop it being reliable and trouble free.
Search on PH for “Giuseppe’s Broom” to see all the work, lots of photos and extensive bills showing the work I've had done. This included a complete check for rust - zero found - new oil cooler, replace rear spring pans, replace rear arms, all springs, complete underseal and chassis protection, engine out inspection and any bolts or items that needed replacing were done. It's in good condition but you can see all the photos from Googling "Guiseppe's Broom" on PH. There's also a big thick folder of previous work from it's older owners - one of which replied to my PH thread which was a nice surprise!
I was extremely pleased to get a report back showing zero rust and Auto Lusso gave it a clean bill of health. To save any future worries the entire underside was sealed as you’ll be able to see from the photos and with some more work on the brakes, engine and a replacement oil cooler I collected the car in January and its been wonderful ever since. The folder is thick with previous work and I’ve kept this up as you’ll see from the PH thread.
I’ve only used this as a third car and other than trips to Auto Lusso for servicing, Eibach springs (much more comfortable now) and new tyres, the only other modification is a lovely Raggazzon exhaust and mid-pipe bought in late 2018 from another GTV owner. It sounds like an 70s Ferrari and this is not an exaggeration. I’d recommend putting in a resonator into the centre section as its a little boomy low down but when moving it gives off the most incredible sound you might want to just keep it above 3000rpm anyway :) Coupled with the airbox and the sounds from this car are fantastic. It’s mechanically perfect.
The interior is in brilliant condition as well and every single electric component on the car works flawlessly and has never let me down or given cause for concern. All I’ve done is to treat it with care and improve it when I found something to correct. Expect stone chips and some parking dings and marks on the wheels but these are cosmetic things I simply haven't got around to. It needed money spending on the important areas first and remember, it's going to turn 20 next year so it's not a garage queen.
As you can tell it’s had a lot of money thrown at it but it’s for the long term health of the car so there’s no point skimping. Be aware these are certainly not to be ran on a shoestring but they are not a money pit either if you go in eyes open. Frankly you just have to be prepared to keep an 19 year old car in the best condition and occasionally drive it hard as thats how these wonderful engines need to be used. Externally there are stone chips and some dings from car parks but the bodywork is in great condition and those are genuine BBS CH wheels too. The new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres have roughly 500 miles of use on them. I’ve changed all badges just to keep it looking good :)
Obviously there aren’t many of these around nowadays, certainly not without rust, broken LCDs, fickle electrics or timebombs posing as engines so I’m confident is saying this is worth the investment both for me and the next owner.
Currently it’s SORN as I’ve moved house during an extension build with too few parking spaces so the car is stored at my parents house in Nottinghamshire. The car is regularly started and warmed up and driven on private land to keep fluids moving and the car healthy. 12 months MOT has just been renewed with no advisories.
Drop me a message if you’re interested or if you have questions. No time wasters as it's a 4 hour round trip for me to take you around the car.
