Overview

Fast, discreet and impeccably tailored, the turbocharged 2.9 V6 RS5 cuts quite a dash and yet isn’t overtly flashy. More of a refined GT car than drifting-on-the-lockstops kind of machine, it nonetheless has huge ownership appeal and offers a tempting blend of performance and high-quality ambience.

This RS5 is finished in a brilliant shade of Metallic Glacier white, made even more brilliant by the bright sunshine on the day it was photographed. It’s a car either for those people who don’t mind regularly getting out the bucket and sponge; or for those who don’t mind leaning into the fact that their car is used in the outside world, where there are scary things like puddles and mud.

Even so, it is presented in almost pristine condition throughout. The interior is nigh on immaculate, and the paintwork has been treated to a resprayed bonnet and front bumper to deal with a few errant stone chips. The unapologetically enormous 20-inch alloy wheels are in beautiful condition, having reportedly been refurbished.

And this car hasn’t just been cosmetically maintained. The accompanying service record shows that it has been back to Audi for servicing every year since new, and the owner has been careful to have any MOT advisories rectified without delay.
