Overview
In April 2023, Alfa Romeo celebrated 100 years since the green four-leaf clover, or Quadrifoglio Verde (QV) if you want to be authentically Italian, first adorned a racing car, before going on to badge the best of Alfa’s subsequent offerings.
To mark 100 years of the cloverleaf, they had to do something special, and fortunately the Guilia QV, having received some ongoing updates, is still one of the best driving and most emotionally involving cars on the market. The dramatic lines of the QV with its lovely teledial wheels pushed out of the edges of the flared arches, carbon fibre skirts and of course the Cuore Sportivo, the sporting heart, grille at the centre of the beautifully flowing front, are enduringly pretty.
To make the 100th anniversary car more special Alfa did more than just special badges and different colour stitching, although those are also included. Under the bonnet the Ferrari-derived 2.9 litre twin turbo 90° V6 has been given a power hike to 520hp, just 20hp less than the full fat GTA. This is in part in thanks to the standard fit Akrapovic exhaust, which sounds devilishly good, particularly in sport and race modes. In addition, the limited slip diff was upgraded to a new mechanical self-locking unit for improved torque transfer and finesse on the edge of grip. Which, to translate, means that it makes powerslides even easier…
Inside, the already impressive cabin has a gold stitched ‘100’ logo on the dash top and matching gold stitching across the dash, seats and doors. 3D printed carbon fibre trim pieces can be found throughout and this model also got new digital instruments and improved phone connectivity. On the outside, the 100 was offered in 3 colours, Rosso Etna, Nero Vulcano and this (arguably the best choice) Verde Montreal, the ocean deep metallic green, which contrasts perfectly with the gold brake calipers as well as more carbon fibre.
The current owner was fortunate enough to win the lottery which Alfa offered previous customers to have a chance to buy one of these, and so ordered it new just over a year ago. It had its first time-based service in December and has seen very limited use, making this an opportunity to acquire a very rare and highly desirable car in almost box-fresh condition.

Summary
The Alfa Giulia QV was already a special car and a worthy rival to cars such as the BMW M3 or Mercedes C63, with a level of style and passion that could only come from Italy.
The Giulia 100 comes with upgrades that take it almost to GTAm level and this car, always garaged with one owner and little use, is as close to a new example as you are likely to find. If you weren’t lucky enough to win in the ballot (or if you were, and greedily want two examples in your collection), then don’t miss out.
