Overview
The standard-issue remark when discussing Nissan’s Z cars is to lament their discontinuation in the UK market. So you can consider this point thoroughly lamented. Now concentrate your attention on the fact that you can still buy and enjoy a low mileage 350Z here today.
The example offered here has clocked up under 22,000 miles since it was built in 2006, so it remains in excellent condition. Almost-perfect upholstery greets you as you step inside, and the whole car looks like it could have been built just a couple of years ago.
And you can be reassured by the accompanying MOT history. Other than a couple of advisories for old tyres, there are no recorded issues. None. Since 2006. Okay, so you’ll want to budget for a new set of tyres, but that’s not bad for a car of this age. And with 275 bhp and 268 lb ft of torque rushing through them, you’ll be glad of some new rubber.
The cassette player is the only working part of the stereo, but on the bright side you’ll only be able to listen to good music as an accompaniment to the V6 soundtrack, and you can even stream to it if you opt for a cassette-shaped Bluetooth receiver.
Obviously we all hanker after what we can’t have, but given that a brand new Nissan Z is off limits for us in the UK, we think we’ve found the next best option. Besides, with a 350Z you’re getting an extremely capable car which remains a pure driving experience.
