Overview

During the 997s production run from 2004 to 2012 it quickly established itself as a firm favourite, so much so that it remains Porsche’s best selling 911 model to this day. And we love it just as much today, with its unmistakably ‘911’ styling, classic round headlights, and poised stance. And the example we see here has the additional benefit of a prominent rear spoiler, so you know it means business.

This car is finished in a deep gloss black, which suits its shape very well. It remains remarkably well presented throughout, so you can proudly arrive at the swankiest of events with effortless elegance. And on the inside, the upholstery and trim is also superbly well preserved, so you won’t believe you’re sitting in a nineteen year old car.

This being the ’S’ model means you get a 3.8-litre flat-six engine which puts out 355 bhp. This is dealt with via a six-speed transmission which manages to accelerate to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds, topping out at 182 mph. And Porsche Active Suspension Management ensures the 997 gets the most out of the corners, too.
