Overview

If we were summarising this Audi in a sentence, we’d say it’s got a big V8, four-wheel drive, and you wouldn’t believe it’s 15 years old. But you were expecting a bit more detail than this, so we’ll continue.

And there’s plenty more to say. This car has clearly been well cared for by its current and previous owners, with its brilliant white paint remaining in excellent condition. This sits upon body panels which are equally free from damage so the car looks very smart throughout. 

The S5 coupe from this period remains a good looking car on today’s roads. Its sharp lines and purposeful stance mean it doesn’t look out of place rubbing shoulders with far newer vehicles. And the small but important V8 badges on the wings are just obvious enough without being insistent, so that anybody passing by will know that this car means business.

The 4.2-litre V8 at the heart of this S5 has a fabulous exhaust note, which has been enhanced by the fitment of a Milltek exhaust system. The engine has received a good number of services over the years, with a pile of invoices setting out the car’s history. Significant work has included the cylinder head intakes being media blasted, and a front suspension rebuild. 

With its crisp white bodywork looking like a perfectly pressed tablecloth, and the unmistakable rumble of a proper V8 engine underneath, this S5 offers a huge amount of performance and fun without compromising on its smart appearance. • The seller tells us that they have carried out the following mechanical modifications: full Milltek exhaust system, BMC air filter, high-flow silicone throttle body inlet hose

• In addition, we're advised that the front brakes have been upgraded with 4 piston Brembo calipers sourced as a direct swap from a Porsche Macan, utilising the stock rotors, and that HEL braided brake lines front and rear were installed at the same time
• 15mm front and 20mm rear spacers have also been added to each corner to increase the overall track of the car and allow the wheels to fill the arches some more without any rubbing at full lock; the seller tells us that this not only improve the car's handling but also improves the aesthetic considerably over the standard car and that new bolts were fitted - the locking wheel nut is included in the glove box

• In January 2022 the gear selector was replaced, and a manifold was replaced 

• In Apr 2022 the cylinder head intake channels were media blasted (with photographic record), a remanufactured fuel injector was fitted, and the oil filter flange and seals were renewed 

• In Jul 2023 the front suspension received an overhaul, including new upper and lower arms

• In Sep 2023 the offside rear brake calliper was replaced, and the gear cable was aligned 

• In Oct 2024 the engine oil and filter, and coolant were changed

• The only MOT advisory is for slight seepage from a power steering hose 

• The seller tells us that the car starts every time and the Miltek exhaust sounds fantastic

• No warning lights or mechanical issues reported
