Overview
The Delta HF Integrale is a thing of beauty, forged in the crucible of rallying, and bringing that motorsport pedigree to the open road. Its aggressively straight-line styling is so gloriously unashamed in its 80s-ness and that theme is continued on the interior, with its retro dashboard and analogue feel.
This is driving at its most raw and rewarding, buzzing along a B-road with power delivered to all four wheels via a manual five-speed gearbox, and the turbocharged two-litre engine putting out a gutsy 182 bhp. This particular Integrale started its life in Switzerland, which means it has many of the handling and engine features of the 16-valve model, together with the enlarged body work, but retains an eight-valve cylinder head. Some say that this is a stronger unit, thanks to being less complicated.
A slightly more sedate lifestyle has been enjoyed by this example. It was imported to the UK in 1997 and purchased by the current owner in 2012. Extensive work has been carried out since, including a thorough respray which remains in superb condition. In 2024 it received a large amount of mechanical servicing, including a cambelt, and has not been driven much since. The leather interior remains original, with original carpets and new mats, so it is a very pleasant place to be.
In all, this Integrale is a beautifully presented example of this iconic model. The current owner has enjoyed taking it to shows, and has clearly looked after it very well. It offers a very tempting opportunity to acquire a ruddy good example of what many believe to represent the pinnacle of the golden age of hot hatches.
