Overview
Broadly speaking, there are three kinds of car maker. Most make transport solutions, a few make sports cars. However, there are a handful of rarified manufacturers who make posters for 10-year-olds. Which is a very good thing, because if a car is mad enough to make it onto a kid’s bedroom wall, then you know it’s a proper supercar.
Of course, the ultimate purveyors of bonkers automotive wedges with whacking great engines are the good folk of Lamborghini at Sant’Agata. Perhaps this is unsurprising, they are the originators of the modern supercar after all – the Miura looking as brilliant and otherworldly today as it did in the 60s. And they’ve never seemingly taken their foot off the gas in terms of crazy ideas too.
Whoever had the idea to shoehorn a 5.2-litre V10 with enough power to tow a small moon and an all-wheel drive system with rapid paddle-shift into a footprint about the size of a Ford Focus is our kind of lunatic. The crazy trapezoidal styling inside and out is the icing on a particularly fantastic cake.
This particular example has been beautifully cared for too. With an average of 1,000 covered each year of its life, we’re talking about a nearly new car to be honest. The service and MOT records are excellent, and we think the glacial white paintwork draped over that stunning black leather and Alcantara interior really does show the Gallardo at its best.
For anyone in the market for a V10 supercar – and let’s face it, that’s all of us if we had the cash – then this represents a fantastic opportunity to enjoy one of Lamborghini’s finest modern cars in nearly new condition.
And yes, it does look brilliant on a poster.

Summary
As the originator of the poster car, it doesn’t really surprise us that the LP560-4 looks fantastic and goes like a deranged leopard. What does surprise us is how well kept and preserved this car is. With just 10,000 on the clock it’s barely broken in, which makes it a tremendous bargain.
From the specification to the service history, there’s much to love here. But more than anything else, we reckon this is the perfect car to make you feel 10 again. To wrap yourself up in the sheer joy of a willfully unhinged, beautifully finished and brutally powerful supercar.
From the deep burble of that massive engine at idle to the ear-splitting howl as it redlines, from the futuristic angular styling to the chest-crushing 3.7 second 0-62 time, every element of this Gallardo is seemingly designed to make you giggle like a kid again. If it doesn’t elicit a near constant face-splitting grin, the occasional whoop of joy and the desire to seek out every tunnel and twisty strip of tarmac on any given journey then nothing will. A life-affirming wonder – one that we’re certain its new owner is going to rapidly fall in love with.
