Overview

There’s something indescribably pleasing about a gated shifter. It reminds you of just how mechanical your machine is. It flies in the face of most current automotive design, unapologetically announcing that you’ll see no touchscreen interfaces here. The 360 was released in 1999, so it comes with a good heap of nostalgia for things like proper manual gearboxes, dashboards with buttons, and analogue gauges.

The interior of this 360 is a particularly pleasant place to be, free from distractions, focussed solely on the pure driving experience. The ‘Blu Scuro’ trim sounds better in its original Italian than the direct English translation — ‘Dark Blue’ — and it lends a high-class feel to the cabin, which features plenty of leather and deep-pile carpets.

Behind the seats sits the V8 engine, mounted amidships, and sitting proudly beneath a glass engine cover, for all the world to see that it features bright red cam covers. It’s loudly, and unashamedly Italian. Ferrari didn’t want to muddy the waters with anything like a turbocharger, so they left this 3.6-litre V8 naturally aspirated, which gives it a sharp responsiveness.

Plenty of accoutrements accompany this Ferrari, mostly bound in attractive leather cases, such as the full original tool kit, which remains complete down to the last spare fuse, and the document folder, both of which sit in beautifully stitched tan leather holders. The accompanying service record has a reassuring number of stamps from a selection of Ferrari specialists. From this we know that the timing belts were last changed in 2023, and its most recent service stamp dates from December 2024.
