Overview
Following on from the success of the first-generation XKR – itself continuing the legacy laid down by Jaguar's historic XK-badged performance models – the second iteration of Jaguar's luxury performance 2+2 grand tourer retains the initial charm and character of those earlier models whilst also taking inspiration from legendary cars such as the D-type and E-type but being a far more technically accomplished effort.
Featuring an all-aluminium design the second-gen XKR debuted in 2007 and initially featured the 4.2-litre supercharged V8 from the previous model producing 410bhp. Fast forward a couple of years though and the XKR would receive a bit of a facelift as well as a larger 5.0-litre version of the venerable Jaguar AJ V8. Now developing a rather gargantuan 503bhp, the post-2009 variants could hit 60mph from parked in around four-and-a-half seconds – a fitting amount of pace for the new XKR's grace and space.
Despite costing over £70K for a standard example when new the XKR is now a much more affordable option whilst still providing all of the thrills and opulence that such a model has to offer and this particular 2010 car is a fine representation of the marque.
Beautifully presented throughout in an attractive colour scheme of white with black wheels over a black leather interior this Jaguar XKR benefits from a recent wheel refurbishment ensuring that every aspect of the car is in excellent shape. Meticulously maintained the vendor reports that there are zero issues and any work required has been diligently carried out. The car comes complete with Jaguar main dealer service history as well as a long, advisory-free MOT, evincing its cherished nature.
