Overview

The name Defender carries some great legacy and weight behind it, so when the ‘new’ Defender (that’s the L663 for us enthusiasts) was unveiled in 2020, the world waited to see if it could live up to its forebear's legendary capabilities.

Thankfully, Land Rover knew what they were doing, and dragged the Defender name firmly into the 21st century (only a few years late - the original Defender was in production until 2016!) and the results have been notable - next time you’re out on the road, take stock of just how many of these Defenders you see on the road.

This particular example is a 110 Commercial, blending Defender usability, luxuries and off-road capability with the payload of a commercial vehicle, with the rear seating area transformed into a load bay, with a bulkhead separating the front cab from the rear compartment.

• Santorini Black exterior in good overall condition

• Tinted windows (carried out by Land Rover)

• Some light stone chips are visible as to be expected on a vehicle of this mileage

• The seller notes that different wheels were fitted until recently, meaning the original wheels (that it is now sat on) have covered virtually no mileage

• Elsewhere, there are some light abrasions noted on the front and rear bumpers, scuffs on the rear bumper protector, and corrosion to the rear towing eyes and hitch 

• Swirl marks are visible in the paintwork in direct sunlight

• There are some typical areas of wear as expected from a commercial vehicle

• We note some scuffs under the front bumper/guard area

• There is an area of paintwork damage on the nearside rear arch plastic

• All four wheels are in pristine condition with no kerb rash or damage

• No issues were noted at the recent MOT examination, but the underside is typically caked in dirt and mud

• Overall, a smart example of the long-wheelbase commercial vehicle that shows some signs of use and wear in keeping with its mileage and use application 

Mechanical
