Overview

Whilst it may not look it to the uninitiated, these classically styled Morgan roadsters are an absolute hoot to drive. On paper, a smidge over 110bhp may seem like nothing, but given the Morgans’ sub-1 ton weight, it equates to plenty of smiles per mile.

That having been said, Morgan’s philosophy has always been more about style and laid-back adventures than outright performance, and the 4/4 fits that ethos perfectly. With modern 90s underpinnings thanks to a Ford Zetec engine and five-speed gearbox but with 30s-style bodywork, there are few cars that look better outside a country pub, or parked up with a picnic basket strapped to the back than a Morgan 4/4.

This particular 1999-registered example is offered for sale in excellent condition throughout, having covered less than 30,000 miles from new. Finished in Connaught Green over Stone leather and with numerous factory optional extras, if you’re looking for a two-seat 4/4, then this is the one you’ve been waiting for. Happy bidding!

Summary

Classical, pre-war looks with 90s comfort and driveability along with impressive performance and no annoying driver ‘aids’ to contend with; there is a lot to like about these classic Morgans, and this 1999-registered 4/4 looks to be an absolute corker.

With under 30,000 miles on the clock and finished in the classic colour combination of Connaught Green over Stone leather, we can think of few other modern classics that typify the eccentric British motoring experience, and this 4/4 is all the better for it.
