Overview
When the Subaru BRZ was unveiled in 2012 there was much rejoicing from the automotive community. Here was an affordable, performance-oriented rear-wheel drive coupe harking back to the glory days of Japanese sports cars that not only looked good but was every bit the driver's car too. Our petrolhead prayers had seemingly been answered and the BRZ remains a popular choice for those passionate about pure, undiluted driving.
Praised for its sharp handling and capable 197bhp 2.0-litre four-cylinder boxer engine, the BRZ (alongside its sister car the Toyota GT86) was an instant hit with the public and press alike and impresses even today as a proper driver's car. There's plenty of scope for modification, too, for those that like to fettle and, combined with its excellent reliability and decent practicality, the BRZ makes for an incredibly versatile machine.
One of the great things about the Subaru BRZ is its inherent usability. These cars wouldn't be anywhere near as enjoyable if the power figures had been cranked up to ludicrous levels. The performance it does possess, however, can be fully exploited, making even the most inexperienced driver feel like Ayrton Senna on a good day, further bolstering the car's allure.
This 2014, low mileage Japanese import presents in excellent condition both inside and out. Fully UK registered and with an advisory-free MOT under its belt the car comes complete with its original Japanese documentation showing past inspections in Japan. Tastefully modified with the addition of an STI exhaust and body kit, along with a HKS Intake system, the car is reportedly running as it should and is ready to be enjoyed.

Summary
An engaging, beautifully balanced and affordable rear-wheel drive 2+2 sports car is arguably the antidote to today's slew of boring modern econoboxes and few do it better than the Subaru BRZ.
Perfectly poised and with plenty of usable power, these cars will never not be a hoot to pilot and this particular sympathetically enhanced example is a fine representation of the model.
