Overview

Whichever Lotus Exige you choose you're in for an absolute treat, such are the inherently engaging driving characteristics of these superlative sports cars, but for those hankering after the most bang for their buck the Series 3 cars, with their 345bhp, 3.5-litre supercharged V6 engines are arguably the ones to go for. Debuting in 2012, a whole 12 years since the introduction of the original Exige, the S3 is the culmination of over a decade of refinement and remains an incredibly capable weapon, both on track and on the road. Like the previous two generations the S3 was available in a huge array of guises, from the limited edition, stripped out 360 cars to the frankly bonkers 430bhp Exige Cup 430 Final Edition, but for many discerning petrolheads the 345bhp Exige S is the smart move.

It’s a proper mini supercar is the S, although slightly larger and heavier than the previous generation in order to accommodate the bulkier engine. Despite that, it can still post a sub-four second 0-60mph time, making it a proper weapon for track days and B-road blasting, especially when equipped with the Race pack with improved suspension geometry, switchable “Race” driving mode and Pirelli P Zero Trofeos at all four corners. Chuck in the Premium Sport pack too for additional creature comforts such as Alcantara upholstery, USB charging and additional carpets, among other enhancements, and the car can easily be used on the daily as well as for longer trips as well. 

This particular 2014 example is equipped with both the aforementioned Race and Premium Sport packs, making it the perfect choice for those after a more usable Exige whilst still wanting to go full send whenever the desire arises, which it will. A lot. Further enhanced by the presence of an upgraded Komotec into 2Bular exhaust system, as well as numerous tasteful exterior modifications, this stunning Exige S comes to market with excellent Lotus main dealer and specialist service history and has covered less than 16K miles from new. • 410 cup rear spoiler, rear canards, and side skirts (original spoiler and mirrors supplied)

• All four wheels present in original condition with only some tiny flaws from the lacquer peeling to mention

• The vendor reports that the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tyres were new at 13K miles

• Underneath looks to be in good condition with just the usual light scuff marks to note

• All under trays and aero pieces are intact and tidy
