Overview

The NC generation MX-5 has always had a loyal following among those who appreciate a properly sorted rear-wheel-drive sports car. Built from 2005 to 2015, the third-generation Roadster brought a stiffer chassis and genuine capacity for meaningful power upgrades, and Sport Tech trim brought serious hardware as standard. This one arrived from the factory already well sorted, before the current owner took it considerably further.

This 2013 NC3 Sport Tech in Dolphin Grey Metallic has been taken a good deal further. At its heart sits a BBR Super 200 package, dyno-verified by BBR themselves and fully documented. For those who know the name, BBR needs no introduction. For everyone else, the Brackley-based firm is one of the most respected MX-5 tuners in the country, and the Super 200 is their signature naturally aspirated upgrade. It's all backed by an invoice and dyno graph.

The modifications haven't stopped at the engine. The chassis and suspension work has been approached with equal care, with respected specialist names on every receipt. It's a car that's been built with a clear vision and genuine attention to detail.

What sets this MX-5 apart from many modified examples is the paper trail. We're looking at full Mazda dealer stamps from new, respected aftermarket names on every receipt, and a BBR dyno graph to back up the headline figure. It's a properly built enthusiast's car with the provenance to prove it.

Full Mazda dealer history from the first mile, a BBR Super 200 upgrade with the dyno graph to prove it, and a considered set of chassis modifications from specialists who know these cars inside out. Every significant piece of work is documented, every part comes from a reputable source, and the result is a properly sorted, 204.5bhp rear-drive roadster with a Torsen diff and a six-speed manual.

It's been used and enjoyed, and the history bears that out. For someone looking for a genuinely well-built, fast-road NC with real provenance, this is a hard package to argue with.
