Overview
There are few cars as iconic as the Cobra and when Carroll Shelby shoehorned a snarling V8 under the body of AC's achingly beautiful two-door roadster a legend was born. It was the ultimate expression of speed, noise and performance but unfortunately the original Cobra was only produced for a handful of years between 1962 and 1967 which means finding one, let alone being able to afford one, is sadly a mere pipe dream for most of us. Yes, you could, and still can, buy a replica with myriad companies producing decent kit-built models but it's the incredibly exclusive Mk II cars from 2024 that truly continued the Cobra's legacy.
AC Cars is enjoying a bit of a renaissance at the moment, what with the release of the new state of the art AC Cobra GT Roadster a couple of years ago and the AC Cobra GT Coupe model now joining the ranks, but the company returned to its roots in 2024 to pay tribute to the original Cobra with a very limited run of just four Mk II continuation cars.
Make no mistake, this is a genuine Cobra built by AC to be as close to the specifications of the original Mk II as possible. That means the same ladder frame chassis and leaf spring suspension, as well as a proper V8 under the bonnet. That's right, a 347cu iron-block lump with Holley fuel injection that was built in North Carolina. Mated to a five-speed manual gearbox it delivers all of its 400bhp straight to the rear wheels. Perfection.
And this is one of those aforementioned four – #COB2753 to be exact. Visually identical to the original AC Cobra, this prized car represents a unique chance for enthusiasts and collectors alike and was first delivered to its original customer in 2024. Having covered a shade over 600 miles, the car is finished in Azure Blue over a black leather interior and presents in as-new condition throughout. This then, ladies and gentlemen, is quite the opportunity.

Summary
This is a classic muscle car that just so happens to have been recently built by the very company that produced the original Cobra back in the early '60s. A genuine AC Cobra, this model can trace its lineage back to the cars produced at AC Cars’ legendary Thames Ditton factory in the 1960s and for fans of iconic British sports cars it represents a unique opportunity to own a proper slice of automotive history.
