Overview

Sitting in between the base Carrera and the Carrera S models the Porsche 992 Carrera T is a more lightweight, agile and dynamic machine that can scratch some of the GT-spec itch and offer a more driver-focussed experience without going full on hardcore mode. That subtle letter T actually comes with a weight of history, harking back to the original 911 from the late-sixties – a car built for pure driving pleasure thanks in part to a targeted lightweight construction.

With a back to basics ethos, the 992 Carrera T doesn't bother with rear seats and is equipped with lightweight glass in order to shave weight. When combined with a 380bhp, twin-turbo flat-six engine powering the rear wheels via the eight-speed PDK gearbox, the Carrera T posts a very respectable 0-60mph time of just 3.8 seconds before topping out at 181mph.

Porsche's Sport Chrono package, PASM sports suspension and sports exhaust system are standard equipment for the T, as are the GT sports steering wheel and Sports Seats Plus, as well as a swathe of dark grey styling accents and Titanium Grey wheels adorning the exterior. The overall effect is that  the car looks and sounds as good as it goes.
